As an E53 owner ourselves we made the phone mount base that didn't exist for this platform.
Our mount is designed around the Scosche MP2AMPSPC MagicMount Pro2, which we found in our testing to be the best magnetic mount on the market, Strong Neodymium magnet hold and compatible with MagSafe cases or any smartphone with magnetic charging built in. Mount is designed to allow charging cord to be routed cleanly up from passenger footwell charging port and attaches to built in clip on back of MagicMount so it is always at hand.
